it's about time that I sat down and cleared off the dust here. SO many brilliant, amazing things have been going on with this. First off- we-is actually a WE now. More like a quad-team, if you will.
  Onai- primary fursuit maker/2D artist
 Hoofer- fursuit building assistant/apprentice
Kovat- Digital illustration
 WolfWings- financial advisor

I'm VERY pleased with how quickly I've been able to pick things up and work at them constantly now. The past few months have been rough ones for me- but I'm BACK! And...quite honestly, alot more clear-headed than I previously was about the direction that I need to go in order to be successful. With that news aside- We're buckling down for the Anthrocon batch of suits to be done. This consists of:
4 full fursuits (All but one's body is mostly sewn)
2 partial fursuits
3 sets of paws

In a few hours- Hoofer will be here. He has no classes tomorrow so he's coming down a day early. WHOOHOOO :D

I'm catching up on time lost otday, as i slept like complete and utter crap, plus my hyperthyroidism kicked up and resulted in me being a sick dog in bed all day. There's progress, though!- and when I saw progress, I mean LOTS of it. I'm sitting in front of XBA's nearly-completed bodysuit right now. I've got all of the main seams sewn, and all that really needs to be done on it are attaching the arms and doing the detailwork on it (hip marking, wings, plug, port, etc. I've finally figgured out WHERE seams are, and it's making my work look MUCH cleaner than previously. My sewing speed also has picked up, and I'm going full-speed ahead. at 12 pm i'm off, and couldn't be more relieved for the weekend. This will have made a total of 58 hours worked this week, which isn't bad at all. Especially when you consider my original schedual called for 60 hours- and I was sick for a day. but managed to clock in 2 hours under that goal. I'm personally pretty damn proud of myself. This week has been an incredibly productive, fun one, and I'm looking forward to MANY more just like it in the near future ^^. Fridays I'm designating as my clean up/organization days- as that way i can have everything lookin' nice and clean for Mondays when I return to the controlled chaos of the studio, and my passion- which is making costumes and creating something out of little more then a pile of faux fur, foam, and glue.

I should probobly wrap up this entry and finish the damn bodysuit's basework :P Details will come on Monday, as the apartment seems to have transpired into a mess of loose fur and all kinds of other fun chaos :P. I think i may find a new spot for the impala skull to hand, and potentually even pin up my zebra faces on the wall. Methinks that'd look basass as all getout :P.

Pictures of XBA's body to come soon!

Seriously, I.....kinda have. The past week has been a complete and utter flurry of fun, chaos, and productivity all rolled into one. I still need to ship Moonstar- whom is now DONE, and there are several critters out on the cutting floor now. The weekend was spent wandering around Chicago and lower Wisconsin with good friends, watching paranormal activity two wrapped up in protective blankets and pillows, and having an overall awesome, relaxing weekend. I arrived home Sunday evening to find a gigantic box awaiting my prying digits to rip open. Inside this box there was 14 yards of soft, brand-new fur for a few fullsuits that I'm working on.
The past few days I've been working until my muscles can no longer take it. 30 hours have been worked this week, today included, and I am one sore, sore soul. The reward for all of this hard work, though, is knowing that I'm that much closer to finishing another costume, and seeing the commissioner's face light up when they receive it :).

NOW- for the pictures- 1st one if of Moonstar, who's sitting in a box waiting to be shipped.
2nd one is of all of the FUR that came in
3rd- and final one is of XBA's bodysuit, and how far I've gotten today. I'll pick back up and finish it tomorrow :)

That's about all of the news I've got for now- I promise I'll update more frequently!

Alrighty, so I owe tis journal quite a few updates. Work today, first off, will be varying based on how my stomach holds up. I'm not going to push myself on things and overwork myself yet. If I pace things right, I may even finish Moonstar today or tomorrow. Don't get hopes up too high for that, though. Like I said, I'm really not feeling the greatest today but I'm going to try to work through it. There ARE a few things, however, that I can show. Bear in mind, most of these are still in the rough stages of finishing.

Alrighty, this concludes the WIP pictures for today. I'll post a second entry in a few moments with my list of things to be done ^-^

-sighs- I swear to god I'm not making excuses here. My shoulder's being ghey again, so after 6 hours of work- I'm done for the day. I'll have Peter massage it out later tonight when he gets home, that should solve the problem. On the upside of things- Progress! I'm done with Moonstar's paws! :D Yipeeee

I'm up with literally a few moments to myself and getting right back to sewing. I intend to go till I drop- sore muscles or not. Things need to be done. *realizes they haven't eaten all day as tummy grumbles are heard* Certain life-sustaining functions may need attending to, however :P.
